Pink Gin

The Pink Gin combines Plymouth Gin, perhaps the most boring vodka of gins, and Angostura Bitters, perhaps the most tedious of bitters.
Strangely, it more or less works.
Oh, there’s nothing pink about it, to be sure, and we’re mixing at a 2 dash per ounce ratio, not the absurd one dash per six ounce ratio of the original.
Plymouth gin is relatively mild and oh so off-dry, so the spice of the bitters comes through and makes this tolerable, if not particularly delicious. I don’t know why the British love this thing so much, but apparently that’s a fact, so there you go.
