I like good Champagne. I like gin and lemons. Simple syrup is okay. Ready for liftoff!
Good Champagne with gin and lemon in it takes good Champagne, and makes it taste like you added gin and lemon to it. Maybe I’m missing something, but this seems pretty stupid.
The fancy presentation of the cocktail (my presentation wasn’t particularly fancy, sadly) seems to be the gimmick, as the cocktail itself isn’t interesting. The only idea I could come up with is that it provides a means for injecting a lot more alcohol into some champagne to make it more likely to get somebody drunk? Seems like a waste to me. Pass.
