It’s rapidly approaching tax season. Luckily, I’ve already paid (and filed) mine! This drink isn’t really celebrating that fact, but hooray, cocktails!

I’m always excited by anything that calls for sweet and dry vermouth. Or bitters, for that matter. The end result is yet another brown cocktail, though at least this time it’s because of the sweet vermouth and bitters.

It’s an interesting thing. I think it would pop a bit more with a more assertive citrus, such as lemon. I may try that at some point. But there’s potential here. Try it.
