Lucien Gaudin Cocktail
02 May 2012
I like the idea of this cocktail. Cointreau is under-appreciated, Campari is great (and, even better, Gran Classico is exceptional), and well, gin and vermouth is swell.
The color is suspect (easily made into an ugly brown cocktail by swapping out the Campari for Gran Classico), but the flavor’s prety good. It doesn’t have the richness of, say, a Boulevardier or Negroni, but there’s some promise here. I don’t think is a great cocktail, but the ingredients here are starting to get interesting.
